Experience

Gustavo is a partner of the Capital Markets, Investment Funds, and Financing at SouzaOkawa. With over 20 years of experience, Gustavo advises local and foreign clients in different lines of business, focusing in cross border transactions and investment fund formation. His expertise includes advising a large number of asset managers, multinational corporations, fiduciary administrators, and institutional investors (pension funds) in legal aspects related to regulated activities (Securities and Exchange Commission in Brazil). He worked for almost 10 years in different areas for BNY Mellon (The Bank of New York Mellon), especially in investment funds and DCM and Project Finance transactions. Previously, he also worked at law firms in England and China, where he was responsible for branches in two different Chinese cities.
