“I could hardly go for a walk in the park without gasping for breath. I didn’t think running was for me”. This quote comes from the same person in the photo with a smile of happiness and accomplishment: our lawyer Thayná Pita, who last month completed the 42 km Chicago Marathon.
With a father who has been an amateur runner for over 40 years, she accepted the challenge and develop a strong liking for the “runner’s high”, falling in love with the idea of running longer and longer distances.
In the run-up to being selected in the draw for the Chicago Marathon, an injury forced her to stay away from running for a month: a stress fracture in her left leg and spinal cord edema in her right leg. But rest and caution paid off.
“Completing the Chicago Marathon meant proving to myself that, with dedication and effort, we can achieve any goal,” says our lawyer.
Congratulations Thayná! We are very proud and happy to be by your side in this great achievement!
