Fernando Gallacci attended the event organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), within the discussions of G20, held on February 28 in São Paulo (SP).
The main subject of the meeting was financial innovation for climate and development, promoting debates on topics such as sustainable financing, restructuring in multilateral financial institutions and combating global inequality.
According to Gallacci, the event was important for observing the global movement for sustainable financing, taking as example initiatives by the IMF, IDB and World Bank, as well as serving to bring closer contact with the measures recently announced by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance at the G20. Among such measures are those taken to reduce currency hedge costs as a way of increasing international fundraising by Brazilian companies, as well as attracting more capital from international investors to Brazil.
Fernando states that “It is clear that there will be a lot to do in the legal field to structure these transactions and cooperate with the development of local and international investments”.
