On September 16, 2024, the National Treasury (“PGFN”) published Ordinance PGFN No. 1,457/2024, which introduced changes to the rules governing federal tax transactions.
From now on, companies entering into transaction agreements with the National Treasury must maintain compliance with both the PGFN and the Federal Revenue Service, a requirement that previously applied only to debts registered as active liabilities, i.e., those already in the National Treasury’s purview.
Furthermore, under the new regulation, only debts that have been registered as active liabilities for at least 90 days may be included in adherence transactions.
Please find below in our bulletin the main modifications introduced by the aforementioned ordinance.
